The Simple Horseshoe Tarot spread is a cut
down version of the classic Horseshoe Tarot spread, which is a very
popular spread used by many tarot readers the world over.
 I
have called this spread the Simple Horseshoe Reading because unlike
in the traditional version of the same name we have only used the
Major Arcana cards of the tarot deck.
By using only the Major Arcana cards in this spread we have made it
an ideal spread for both newcomers to tarot as well as seasoned tarot
users who what a quick and straight forward spread that will look
into all major aspects of everyday life and even probe into the more
deeper aspects of human spirituality.
The Simple Horseshoe spread comprises of seven cards each assigned
their own different meanings. Different tarot readers assign different
meanings to the seven cards in this spread but I have chosen to go
with seven aspects of life that I think will best help you navigate
the sometimes uncharted courses life so often throws at us.
Card Number 1: Past Influences
This card tries to look into your past to examine how things that
happened yesterday are or could be affecting your life today. It
is easy to look back in hindsight but not so easy to identify what
to look back at. This card will assist you in identifying what went
wrong and help you work out how to right it.
Card Number 2: The Present
This card is a very complex card as it not only probes the very
present but also looks into things that have just happened or are
about to happen in the very near future. This is a guiding card
as it reveals things that are very present enabling you to chart
the right course before it's too late.
Card Number 3: Hidden Influences
The hidden influences card helps you identify situations, emotions
or people that have some sort of hold or control over you be it
good or bad and at the same time informs you how to deal or manage
it to your best benefit.
Card Number 4: Obstacles
This card is overwhelmingly a negative card as it is designed to
uncover the obstacles that keep hindering you in your path of life.
Everyone comes up against obstacles in life and often taking peoples
advice can help overcome them but first you must identify them.
This card will help you do just that.
Card Number 5: Outside Influences
This card is similar to card 3 (hidden influences) but this card is
designed to only identify outside influences. Seeing is believing.
The naked eye can only see what is clearly before it but is completely
blind to things that are hidden from view or masked as something else.
Card Number 6: The Best Course Of Action
Once you identify a problem the next step is to find a solution.
If you read too deep into a situation finding a solution can be
more difficult than uncovering what was wrong in the first place.
This card will make a long story short and give you simple but effective
solutions to common problems.
Card Number 7: The Outcome
This card attempts to look into the distant future to predict how
certain situations you are currently experiencing may turn out in
the long run. As you should understand, it is very difficult to predict
the future hence some of the predictions may have loose terminology
but if you put a lot of thought into your reading you should hopefully
be able to make some sense of it. |
